BAA Communities Trust
The BAA Communities Trust is the grant making charity of BAA, which supports projects in communities closest to BAA’s airports. Particular focus is placed on projects that create learning opportunities for young people, raise aspirations, and provide airport staff a chance to get involved in the community.
Big Lottery Fund
The Big Lottery Fund gives out millions from the National Lottery to causes which improve health, education and the environment. The Big Lottery Fund has awarded a grant to The Challenge to fund the Real Challenge in 2011 and 2012.
Boltini Trust
The Boltini Trust supports causes and organisations in England deemed particularly worthwhile by its trustees. In 2012, the trust awarded a grant to fund The Challenge Society programme in Surrey.
The Cabinet Office
Through the National Citizen Service policy, The Cabinet Office is the flagship supporter of our summer programme, The Challenge.
The City Bridge Trust
The City Bridge Trust is the grant making arm of Bridge House Estates – an ancient charity managed by the City of London Corporation. The Trust aims to tackle disadvantage by supporting charitable activities throughout Greater London.
John Hart
John Hart was one of the first supporters of The Challenge, and became an Honorary Graduate of The Challenge in 2010. He continues to be a dedicated patron of the programme.
Pentland
Pentland is a third generation, family owned, global brand management group, operating in sports, outdoor and fashion. The Group owns global brands such as Speedo, Mitre, ellesse and Berghaus and licenses Lacoste and Ted Baker. It sells its products in 195 countries.
The Peter Cruddas Foundation
The Peter Cruddas Foundation focuses on programmes designed to help disadvantaged young people develop their potential. The Peter Cruddas Foundation has been a cornerstone funder of The Challenge Network, and in 2009 Peter Cruddas became the first Honorary Graduate of The Challenge.
QBE
The QBE Foundation’s philosophy is to support vocational opportunities. The Foundation seeks to support individuals and groups with their endeavours to live more independently, successfully and productively. As such the Foundation sets out to support women and men to overcome disadvantage and expand on their abilities.
Social Investment Business
Social Investment Business is the manager of the Social Action Fund which supported the launch of The Challenge Society (our year-round graduate programme) in 2011/2012.
Social Business Trust
The Social Business Trust (SBT) is a partnership of world-class businesses combining their resources and expertise to accelerate the growth of social enterprises. SBT provides The Challenge Network with in-kind advisory support as well as financial investment. The seven partners of SBT are Bain & Company, British Gas, Clifford Chance, Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young, Permira and Thomson Reuters.
Together Housing
The Together Housing Group is a leading provider of quality affordable and modern homes for rent across the North of England. They support The Challenge Network in the Northwest.
