The Challenge is your chance to show yourself and others (including employers and university admissions tutors) what you can do.

Are you up for it?

The Challenge is an exciting opportunity for 15-16 year olds in the summer after year 11. The programme lasts 2 ½  weeks full-time during the summer, plus 4 days over the following 5 weekends.

Week 1: The Personal Challenge

Could you learn to abseil down a 100 foot wall?

Tackle the outdoor challenge of your life. Five days of team activity with some the best instructors in the UK. Learn more.

Week 2: The Team Challenge

You and your team live at a university and take on a project with a difference. Which of your passions would you choose from? Enterprise, Media, Design and Technology, Performance or Sport? Learn more.

Week 3 and beyond: The Real Challenge

Now you take over!  It’s your turn to design the Challenge. Can you think bigger than us and come up with something your team can do that everyone in your neighbourhood will be talking about? Learn more.

Graduation: Time to celebrate

In the autumn, you receive your certificate from a prominent leader in a ceremony at a prestigious venue.

How much does it cost?

Although it costs us £1250 per person to provide The Challenge, thanks to support from our generous donors and partners, we are able to charge only £50 per participant. And if you pay before the discount deadline the price is only £25..

**In 2010, The Challenge is open to 15-16 year olds in Year 11 who are living or attending school in Birmingham or the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham or Southwark.
